Rob Bruce is a Chartered Professional Accountant based in Victoria, British Columbia. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia in 1997, qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2001, and has spent more than two decades helping businesses and individuals make sense of their numbers.

Since 2002, Rob has run his own firm, Robert Bruce Business Consulting Ltd., serving a loyal client base of more than 25 corporations and individuals. The practice covers the full life of a business: consulting for startups finding their feet, strategic planning for mature companies plotting their next move, and the essentials of corporate and personal tax returns, GST filings, and financial statements. What Rob values most are the long relationships, working with owners year after year as their companies grow and their goals evolve. For many clients he is the first call when a big decision is on the table, a trust he treasures.

Accounting education is Rob's other passion. He develops curriculum for CPA Canada, leads workshops for the CPA Western School of Business, and teaches at UBC's Sauder School of Business and Camosun College. That work has taken him as far as Beijing and Shanghai, and earned him the 2025 UBC DAP Teaching Excellence Award.

Beyond the office, Rob mentors young accounting professionals and volunteers with his local CPA chapter. When the books are closed, you'll find him travelling the world, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, or exploring Vancouver Island's hills and coastline by bike and on foot.
